I can't log in to the library / I am logged in, but it is asking me to log in again.

Answer

Important: Do not use id\ before your username and do not put @troy.edu after it. Just use your username, for example, jsmith147829

Important: If you try to log in multiple times with the incorrect password, the system (for security reasons) will lock you out for 15 minutes. Therefore, if you realize you have been using the incorrect password, but the correct one is not working, wait 15 minutes and then try again.

When you enter the Library via the Troy intranet, my.troy.edu, or by going directly to the Library web address, you are logged in to the Troy intranet, but you are not logged in to the Library. Logging in to the intranet allows you to pass through to Canvas (without an additional log) and it allows you the opportunity to log in to email, but it does not log you in to any of the Library services, e.g., databases, Discovery search, or Interlibrary Loan (ILL). In that sense, you can't be "logged in to the library." When you use Discovery (the search box on the library home page) or any of the individual databases, you will need to log in using your TrojanPass ID and password (the same as logging in to my.troy.edu).

If you are using Discovery search (the search box on the Library home page) and do not want to keep having to log in each time you want to view an item, you can avoid having to do so by logging in to Discovery before doing your search. To do that, look just above the Discovery search box for "OFF TROY CAMPUS?—Please click here to log in before searching." Clicking there will force a login before you search.

If your TrojanPass ID and password are not working from the library.

When users can log in the the intranet, but not into databases, the issue is usually this:

If your computer is autologging (it has remembered your password) you in to the TROY intranet  my.troy.edu, but you can’t log in to library databases, it may be because you are not using the correct password. That is to say, your browser has remembered the correct one, but you think it is something different.
