To create an EBSCO account and save items to a personal folder, there’s an important first step if you're working off campus:
- When you enter the Discovery search tool from the library homepage, you must first click the banner at the top of the screen that says: If you are not on campus, click here to login through Troy University. This ensures you're properly authenticated through our system.
- After logging in through Troy, you’ll be returned to the search page. Then click “Sign In” at the very top of the screen.
- Choose “Sign up” to create a personal EBSCO account (using your own email address and password—this is separate from your Troy credentials).
Once created, you’ll be able to save articles, citations, and searches.
Because our Discovery search service is owned by EBSCO, all EBSCO databases follow the same login structure and interface. For more detailed help—including screenshots and troubleshooting—check out our Discovery Service LibGuide here: [https://troy.libguides.com/searchbox].
