Q. How do I submit a Helpdesk (help desk) ticket for the library?
The Helpdesk link should be easy to locate from virtually any TROY web page. The address is https://helpdesk.troy.edu/.
HOW TO/KEY: You must first log in to the Helpdesk. If you do not log in, you will not see the options you need. After you log in, click "Submit Helpdesk Ticket" and then go to the area "Administrative & Business." There you will see a selection for Library Journals.
If you are a student or faculty member and need help finding or using library resources, you should not be submitting a Helpdesk ticket. You should simply contact the library staff by chat, email, text, or in person for assistance. A Helpdesk ticket goes to the IT staff and is of use when there is a technical issue beyond "I need help using the library."
Students and faculty should only submit a Helpdesk ticket for the library when the library staff refer you to do so--and that should be very rarely.
