Q. PDF is not showing in ProQuest database using the Firefox browser.

Answer

If you have an article in one of the databases from the ProQuest Company, and you are unable to view the PDF, this should fix the problem. (A quick solution is to use a different browser, and you may prefer doing so rather than changing your browser's settings.)

  • Click "Open menu" (in the upper right of the Firefox browser).
  • Click "Options"
  • On the left-side menu, click "Applications"
  • Under "Content Type," look for "Portable Document Format (PDF)"
  • Change the setting to Preview in Firefox

The issue/problem is (possibly) that when set to open PDFs in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, they will not show when accessed from the ProQuest search interface.
